I have still been a little under the weather and haven't had much energy for much of anything but I wanted to share this picture of my Master Pumpkin Carver.
His Scout pack had a pumpkin carving tonight and he got 4th place! I can't wait to see him in his costume this weekend!

The Cub Scout
It's been a while since I've posted! I am still a bit under the weather but I am recuperating and hopefully I will feel up to writing about this adventure soon.
Meantime, I thought I would share some photos of our new Cub Scout!
I have to admit that Drew wasn't terribly enthusiastic about joining Cub Scouts. He was very indifferent to the idea but this was because he had no idea about what Cub Scouts was about. The only thing he knew about the Cub Scouts was that they served hot dogs at his school's Family Hot Dog Lunch day which he thought was neat. This was a good sign since he does really like to be at the active end of events.
So, I took him to an open house held by the local Scout Pack. He was so ready to join by the end of the evening!
The first weekend in October was the Pack overnight family camp. My daughter is in a relationship with a terrific guy that volunteered to take Drew on this camp out and they both had a blast!
Of course, that night was the coldest night of the season with temperatures dipping to freezing with a little sleet and snow. But they went well prepared and they played, hiked, ate by campfire and slept in a tent.
He has been studying his Scout Handbook and is eager to earn his Bobcat Badge. He's excited about being a Cub Scout and we are all pleased that he is now participating in an activity that teaches values in addition to having fun. Who knows! Maybe we will have an Eagle Scout in our family someday!

Drew's POV on Fall
I have been a little under weather lately and haven't gotten around to doing much of anything but I sent Drew off with the camera for his point of view on fall. I really enjoy seeing his POV with a camera. Hope you will enjoy them too!
